The cluster showed that P was selected, but the system continued warning that the vehicle had to be secured against rolling. Evidence directed diagnosis toward the electronic selector, not a destroyed transmission.

The diagnostic contradiction

The lever allowed gear positions to be selected and the cluster displayed P. However, the equivalent of “secure vehicle against rolling” remained. This contradiction shows that displaying Park and confirming every internal Park condition are not necessarily the same signal.

Observed fact: the fault was located inside the selector assembly and its internal mechanism was serviced. The video does not demonstrate an internal mechanical transmission failure.

Safety: while this warning is present, always apply the parking brake. Do not rely only on the P indicator.
